I'm moving to the Summerlin area of Las Vegas and considering training at Drysdales; however, I have a question. Does anyone know if Drysdale still teaches the Gi classes anymore or is he more focused on his mma career and has someone else instructing?
Also, highly considering Cobra Kai as well. I know Sim is a forum member and I like his style of instruction that i've seen on the internet. Anyone from here train there? Also, any other schools close to summerlin i'm missing?
Definitely take your time choosing a school. I think everyone in town gives a free week or at least a free class. Before I chose an academy i invested time at each school. After all of it I chose Sergio's. I've never felt such a great team connection and overall vibe. We have blackbelts consistently comment on how much new stuff they learn from Sergio everyday. There is so much good jiu jitsu in Vegas you can't go wrong. Just be sure to try everywhere before you choose.
I trained at Cobra Kai during a trip to Vegas for Bachelor Party. Sim was on the mats training with everyone. Great instruction and from what I can tell a healthy group dynamic.
