Murilo Ninja Seminar in TOKYO!

Hello!

I'm sorry to write in English!

My friend Murilo Ninja Rua, Pride veteran from Chute Boxe, will be holding a seminar in Tokyo, Japan, for the first time ever, this coming August 27th, just one day before the Pride GP Finals!

The seminar is MMA oriented and who has been in one, or heard about one of his seminars, knows how good it is. It's also a good opportunity to meet the Chute Boxe fighter. I won't be along this time, but it's still a great seminar and those who attend won't regret.

The seminar will take place at the Chute Boxe academy in Japan, and you can find all the info you need on:

Thanks a lot!

Eduardo Alonso.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is absolutely GREAT! But did you have to tell everybody on this forum? ;-)

The site is in Portuguese. Can you book early, or only on the day? I dont want to show up to find out its sold out!

Sorry, never mind, just saw the Japanese. Says you can book early. Thanks

Is a Ninja seminar worth it? What kinda stuff does he usually cover?

SILK,

I can provide you a lot of info on what a Murilo Ninja seminar is like, since I'm his seminar manager/assitant/translator! =)
Unfortunatelly this time, since he is doing this as part of his Pride trip, I won't be able to be there, however, at all his European and American seminars Im there.

So, the seminar is MMA oriented. It covers all aspects of MMA fighting, of course based on the style Murilo (and his brother) like to use and what they believe. It follows a natural progression of a fight, starting with standing up techniques, and transiotining to clinching, of course the Chute Boxe famous knees from the clinch, takedowns and takedowns defenses, moving to ground work from several positions, such as guard, half guard, side mount, standing up against a downed opponent, and everything else you can imagine.

Most important thing is that every position is MMA oriented, so it can involve some sort of strikes, and it gives you a feeling of how to adapt positions to actual MMA. Also Ninja is a nice guy, and is always eager to answer questions, take pictures, sign autographs and show positions over and over again.

I'll find some reviews of our seminars and give you the addresses. Hope this info helps!

Hey Silk. Should be a great seminar. Ill have to see if i can attend as Im going to Pancrase and I probably can only fit one of them in on the night.

From my experience the Brasilians are usually very generous with their knowledge.

See ya!

Shot Kez. It says the seminar is from 2pm to 5pm, so you should still make Pancrase on time :-D "PINK TYPHOON!!!!" or something like that....

fruhzs - I emailed the addy on the site requsting info, but havent heard from then :-( What's the best way to book a place?

Silk,

The seminar is great! If you and kezza can go, that will be great! Murilo will benneffit directly from that, I can tell! I just won't guarantee that Shogun will pop up, cause he has to fight in the following day, but who knows?

Im not the one organizing this seminar, so the things I know are the things that Ninja tells me. Ill ask him today, and see what I can do to help! Hopefully the guy will reply the emails soon, but in the worst case Ill talk to Ninja, get your names, and secure a spot trough him.

Eduardo.

Hey Folks!

I really hope you guys can make it to the seminar! You're going to like it!

I spoke to both Ninja and the guy that runs the site, Mauricio, and he said he doesn't speak English! so if you can write in Japanese, he will certainly reply!
If you can't write in Japanese, I'll find a way to help out

Eduardo.

lol. Thanks for your help Eduardo! I wrote my email in English, apologizing that I dont speak neither Japanese nor Portuguese.

I'll try to get somebody to write in Japanese. There might be 3 of us interested time permitting (Me for sure, then kezza and another crazy Ozzie, though all Ozzies are crazy by default... ;-)

Hey watch it SILK ;P ...Actually you have a point....

  • Juggs

You know I'm right Juggs :P

Eduardo - I phoned the Chute Boxe Academy in Tokyo and spoke to Prof. Zito (sp?). Just gave my name and he said a place is reserved. Hopefully all will work out :-) Thanks for the help and info!!

That`s awesome!

Zito is a nice guy, and its funny cause he was Ninja`s first Muay Thai instructor, even before Pele!

You`re going to have a blast, I'm sure, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask!

Eduardo.

Hi fruhzs,

The other crazy Aussie that SILK is talking about is me. How have you been ? I'll be going to the seminar as well.

double post

Hey Paul:-) Glad you're gonna make it! Gives me a training partner I can stomp :P You call the place?

Be careful SILK I have been sharpening my forehead in anticipation for the stomps ...

Ryukyu,

Thanks a lot, it really means a lot to us. We truly LOVE doing seminars, and when people enjoy them it makes everything feels worthy! We are planning a new tour with Shogun and Ninja together in the USA for around January!

Paul,

Great man! I`m sure you'll enjoy the seminar. Ninja is a nice guy, mention to him you're my friend =)
Unfortunatelly I won't be in the Tokyo seminar, cause they will be doing it as part of their PRIDE travel, and it wouldn't justify my airfare ($), however I'll be going to Europe with Ninja on September 1st to do some seminars there, as always =) So, life has been busy! I hope to finally reach Japan soon!

Eduardo Alonso.

Place called, and seminar booked in !

Any other mma.tv people going ?

anyone ???

=)
