If you decide to exercise twice a day (one for Cardio and the other Weight Resistance) with 6 hours in between. Is it better to lift first then cardio 6 hours later or vice versa?
Doesn't really matter too much. BUT, a lot of research suggests that doing cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach burns more calories from your Stored Fat, then later in the day. But either way, Muscle Atrophy will not be a problem. As long as your not working out too long and that you make sure you get rest days during the week.
wow... a valid post from Tease....
Something must be freezing somewhere :-S
great question Mr. Tease!
Although it's not really related to your question, I used to always weight train first and then hit cardio because when I did it the other way around I almost never felt like going through with lifting weights - I was too tired.
bouncy.
Tits or Tease
Hey tito or tease, like was suggested, do your cardio in the morning, but don't do it on an empty stomach, take some bcaa's with water before, this will fend off any potential catabolism, and then get your breakfast in about 30 mins after cardio (so have your shower, get ready then eat).
Actually, there is a good amount of evidence that doing cardio right after weight training greatly increases it's effectiveness as well.
source?
30 mins of cardio first counted as a warm up before all my training,ie weights, sparring, judo, & rolling. i need a good warmup because im in my 40s & gota look after my self now
