Muscle Gain Diet....

Basically, I know there has been a few treads about Muscle Gaining diets and workouts, but I wanted to post another that's kinda specific to me....
So, I'm male, 6 foot 2 inches, 186lbs, Average (coming onto muscley) body, fairly strong and can lift alrighty for my age (under 18)
Also, I currently have a Torn ACL which I'm having surgery on in 3 weeks, but I still weight train the upper body, and sometimes even the lower body (mostly to keep it strong for surgery)
I was just wondering if anyone of you wonderful people can help me with diet which I can start as soon as possible for muscle gain, what foods I should avoid, and what supplements (not too many) are the best....
I currently take Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein and Arginine capsules.
