My fight cancelled at weigh ins

Came here to post "You should be telling this to WRONG FORUM ASSHOLE!", But you had to go and ruin it by addressing the "OG ". Thanks asshole! Next time don't juice for your fight and maybe you'll make weight. K, brah?

Ray Irizarry - Well og brethren. Showed up at weigh ins today feeling ok. Not a super difficult weight cut but I managed 136lbs. Difficult enough to wipe me out. My opponent stepped on the scales at 130. Said he thought the fight was at 125. But came in 5 lbs heavier. Commission told me to drop some more weight, which would have been physically impossible without bad shit happening, or the fight would be scrapped. So fight was scrapped. On to the next. What was the contract for?

Why didn't the promoter back you up?

Does the commission have a 5lbs weight spread limit?

Where was the fight?

Sucks to hear man - I had one cancelled in the week before and I was livid.

SC MMA MD - Was the one of the USFFC fights that got scrapped? I did not think that NC had a maximum weight differential as long as both participants were within the specified weight class. Crappy situation, especially for you since you did everything right Phone Post 3.0
Yea it was. I think the commissioner was just in a shit mood maybe. I've seen him let people eat or drink and gain weight before. We were definitely still in the same weight class. My opponent offered to put on a few lbs to make it happen. Phone Post 3.0

VTFU btw

Contract was for 135. Promoter did everything he could. No budging from commissioner. We were 6 lbs difference. I could not physically cut any more and they wouldn't let him gain. Sucks ass. 8 week camp and weight cut down the drain! Phone Post 3.0

Toki Wartooth - VTFU btw

Why would you have to cut?? Isn't 130 and 136 the same weight class? He didn't even make weight for the class he "thought" he was fighting in. Why would they cancel the fight if you were both In the same weight class? Phone Post 3.0

Your opponent is a faggot.

ok I am trying to make sense of this he stepped on at 130 which is within the 126-135 limits and the fight got cancelled?

hopefully you got your show money

The dude paid everyone. Scurred. Phone Post

Sorry to hear that man. I had something similar happen to me, we agreed to fight at heavyweight so I had to pack on ten pounds then the guy showed up at 285, they wouldn't let the fight happen.
Dude was a real cunt about it, too. "I'll meet you in the parking lot and we can do it there homie!"
Sucks when people are too immature to hold up their end of the bargain after you pay for training, food and blood work. Phone Post 3.0

Yup. He was 130 and I was 136 on the dot. They told me to drop more weight or the fight was off. Phone Post 3.0

This was slotted to be my last ammy fight before turning pro. So no show $$. And no refund for the people I sold tickets to. So were going to go and watch. Phone Post 3.0

I don't get it. 126-135 is the 135 class. Why couldn't the fight happen? Phone Post 3.0
