Our local news station here in Bakersfield just reported that the UFC sale is basically a done deal and they NEVER cover mma. I've literally only seen them cover it once before and it was for the Ronda vs Holm fight. Interesting times in our sport..
Who did they source in the story?

What channel? I'm on 7, and there's no mention of it.
Was on KBAK channel 29 eye witness news during the 5am hour of the broadcast. Said that bids are closing in over 4 billion, as previously reported. No report of the buyer.
Haha, I must've just missed it! I watch them every morning.
Dana's gonna pull their credentials
I do not believe Vince would have allowed leaner to fight at 200 were they not buying the UFC.
jackbone - I do not believe Vince would have allowed leaner to fight at 200 were they not buying the UFC.Why?

This is turning into a cool conspiracy type situation.
Fox 5 here in Vegas did too. They right away spoke about the NFL deal being closer than ever, also NHL and how NBA is looking into Vegas. Thanks Fertittas!
jackbone - I do not believe Vince would have allowed leaner to fight at 200 were they not buying the UFC.As stated in another thread, the WWE is only estimated to be worth around 2 billion iirc. That's not enough to cover the spread to buy the UFC outright.

Honesty - Dana's gonna pull their credentialsLol

Bro, Bakersfield sucks . :(
im confused, should we be concerned about someone buying the ufc?i mean, in the wrong hands they could turn it into a complete shit show..i dont know if there are any brilliant minds out there that can make the ufc a better product..

ons ear - im confused, should we be concerned about someone buying the ufc?i mean, in the wrong hands they could turn it into a complete shit show..i dont know if there are any brilliant minds out there that can make the ufc a better product..It'll likely be a Chinese conglomerate which could potentially take the fights into Asia where P.E.D testing is incredibly limited essentially undoing any strides that the UFC has made towards MMA becoming a legitimate sport with stringent testing and fighter safety guidelines.
