Great fight Nick. Think you'll ever come back down to 160?
170 is where Diaz belongs.
top
lol awesome
"Nick wins the fight at 160 as well imo..."
Your opinion is wrong, imo.
You have stock in Strikeforce? ;)
Does Strikeforce have a single welterweight for him to fight other than his teammate Jake? Nick might be forced to fight at 185.
mushin what is your ideal weight?
Nick never went to 160 anyways.. Homey didn't have to make weight.. That's like asking Gina if she minds fighting at 140..
ttt for Muhsin.

LOL
I think Nick loses too much power going down to 160. He looked so much better at 170 and now this 180 than he does at 160.

No - Weed gives you the munchies.

He was 185 when he fought Muhsin! LOL
Diaz vs Baroni would have some epic trash talking and in-ring taunting as well.
Very good point, Morbbrey.

ok sorry, he looks better at 200 or whatever he gained back whenever he fought shamrock...point is, higher weight class = more power for diaz.
His punches accumulate much faster when he's fighting heavier. I think 170 is perfect for him most of the time. 185 might be too big for him considering some of the 185ers that are out there. 160 is obviously too small for him.

The thing is, when Diaz fought Muhsin they were scheduled to fight at 160. Muhsin weighed in at 158(barely had to cut) and Nick weighed in at 170. Muhsin took the fight anyway. It was rumored that Nick was well over 190 come fight time. Giving up 30 pounds to a top level fighter like Diaz, Muhsin still went 3 rounds and lost a decision. Muhsin was never out of the fight and gave Nick all he wanted. Now, Shamrock, who normally fights at 185, was dismantled by Nick. I'm not big on fighter A beat fighter B and fighter C beat fighter A stuff, but you have to admit that this speaks volumes for Muhsin and his ability to compete with the best in the world at 155 or 160.
"Nick weighed in at 170. Muhsin took the fight anyway. It was rumored that Nick was well over 190 come fight time."
Nick, the guy who does triathalons, etc and fights at around 160-170 put on 20 lbs in 24 hours? That's very hard to believe. I don' t think he had to cut at all to make 179, so how could he cut to 170 then put on 20 more lbs?
Bottom line is no matter how well Mushin did vs Nick, or how crappy Frank really is these days, on the books, it looks like this: "Nick beat a semi known good fighter named Mushin. Nick beat the Legend, and bigger guy, Frank Shamrock" No dis to Mushin who put up 100 times the fight that Frank did, but to the average fan, Frank is a legend, etc, blah blah blah.
Nick will be fighting named guys till he loses. I'd like to see a Lawler rematch personally.
My bad Frank. I just got my information from someone who was there and saw Nick and Muhsin on the scales. I forgot that you had a MMA crystal ball!
