Let me start off by saying Im a huge miguel torres fan. But... I do think the latest string of distasteful comments have to be tended to. I would of personally went the suspension or large fine route. But what really will get more attention then a public firing? As far as the diarrhea of the mouth that some of these fighters have been suffering from, I truly think this will put an end to it rather quickly. Dana isn't where he is by being lucky. Ashton Kutcher does the same thing. He posts in defense of Joe Paterno on Twitter and he's publicly hung for his comments. Then he apologizes and claims ignorance. Then he claims he cannot be trusted to manage himself on line and other people will do it for him.
Celebrities need to realize when you post something on Twitter, it's a published comment. And it's there forever. Even if you delete it, it still got out and someone will be able to find it and there is nothing you can do it about it.

Maybe he would've been fired anyway, I've thought he was a dick ever since I saw some of his tweets where he really sounded like a moron, which was regularly. He would occasionally have interesting things to say or express a philosophy of how MMA should be that I agree with. Anyway it comes down to his fighting credentials. Regardless of what I think of him I always look forward to his fights and usually even root for him because I like his fighting style (even though his UFC fights haven't been good) and admire what he's accomplished. I don't see how you cut him for being a dickhead, even if he's embarrassing. There's gotta be a better way.
