12/6/11 (Morgantown, WV) For Immediate Release:

The Midwest’s premier mixed martial arts promotion, the North American Allied Fight Series (NAAFS), is scheduled to make its promotional debut in the great state of West Virginia on Saturday January 28th, 2012. The historic event will be held in conjunction with Simons Promotions and will feature no less than ten professional bouts. “Caged Fury 16” will be held at the prestigious Morgantown Events Center in Morgantown, WV which is located just minutes from the campus of West Virginia University.

“We are honored to be one of the first MMA promotions selected to host a state sanctioned MMA event in West Virginia” stated NAAFS president Greg Kalikas. “I know fans and fighters in that state have been waiting on the sport to become legalized for quite some time, and we’re glad to see the state athletic commission is willing to give MMA an opportunity to grow and thrive there like it has in Ohio and in so many other states.”

Coming off what may have been the promotion’s best year in 2011, the NAAFS has positioned itself to take its high paced, action packed show on the road in 2012. “Were anticipating debuting the NAAFS into several new markets this coming year,” added Kalikas. “NAAFS fans can expect a spectacular year of MMA….for us, it all starts on January 28th in West Virginia.”
