organizers are looking for a fighter to fight Jeff Monson in a super-
fight. On behalf of EDSON CARVALHO we are accepting the challenge
and would like to arrange for this match. There is no need to look for
someone else. Edson Carvalho will fight him.

Last I remembered Edson was around 190. Edson is a tough mofo but will get squashed by Monson. This is a mismatch.

I believe it is an open division "super-fight" or "absolute" type of
match. As far as I know Jeff Monson outweighs Edson at the moment.

This is a no-gi grappling match and I doubt Monson will squash Edson.
It will be a tough match, and we accept the challenge.

Edson is one of the few grapplers I've seen complete whom I have ever been in awe. I saw him a few years ago competing in the Arnold Classic pro division. He was throwing his much younger opponent all over the mat, and letting out with a loud scream every time he did so. It was entertaining as hell. He caught the guy in a standing chokehold and the guy was tapping on the way down to the mat.
Unfortunately, Edson injured his knee in the next match.
Monson isn't the type of opponent who is going to bring out the best in Edson. It will be a takedown/guard fight.
Kipp should set up tom erikson vs. monson rematch. I am almost positive erikson would do it for a reasonable price.
