NAGA RETURNS TO CORAL SPRINGS, FL FOR ITS PRO AM EVENT:
The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) is America's largest mixed grappling tournament circuit with over 13,500 competitors worldwide. On Saturday, June 26th, 2004 the NAGA returns to Florida for its 2nd Annual NAGA PRO AM Grappling Championship No-Gi & Gi tournament. Come as an individual or as a team to compete. This event is RANKED!

75 SAMURAI SWORDS AWARDED
The NAGA will be handing out 75 custom engraved SAMURAI SWORDS to all 1st Place Adult Winners (Novice through Advanced) for both the NO-GI & GI winners.

TREMENDOUS VENUE:
The Coral Springs Gymnasium is twice the size of a normal College Gym. This huge arena is not affiliated with any school or other organization. It is an enormous venue which has plenty of stadium seating for friends and family to watch you compete. We will run 10 Rings at once to ensure an efficient tournament. We will also have plenty of warm-up mats for competitors.

REMOVE SUBMISSIONS FOR THE BEGINNER KIDS (Ages 14 & Under):
The NAGA and the sport of submission grappling are growing at a phenomenal rate. We want to attract as many new grapplers to the sport and our competitions as possible, especially the children. We feel there are many kids that would like to compete however the submission component may be a little too much for them at this early stage of grappling competition. Starting with the NAGA Pro Am in Florida, all NAGA events with Children NO-Gi & Gi Beginner Divisions will be with "No Submission Points". Kids that want to compete in submission matches can fight in the Intermediate or Advanced Kids Divisions as they have in the past. Beginner Children Gi & No-Gi Division Points will still be awarded for Take Downs, Guard Passes, Sweeps and Positioning. We hope this helps ease the nervousness that accompanies competition. Children Beginner Divisions will be 3 Minutes in length. Every match will go the entire 3 minutes. The winner of the match will be determined by who has more points at the end. We want everyone, especially the kids to have a good time at our events. We hope this helps bring more young grapplers into our sport. We will also be removing NECK CRANKS in the Kids & Teens Divisions. Teen Beginners ages 15 through 17 years old will still be allowed to apply submissions.

OVER 100 GI & NO-GI DIVISIONS THE SAME DAY:
One of the unique advantages of NAGA events is the fighters' ability to compete in both Gi & No-Gi competition the same day with no extra cost involved. We will be holding all 100 divisions (Gi & No Gi) on Saturday so you can save some cash, only $65 to fight in both Gi & No Gi competition. Pre-Reg fighters will receive a Free Competition T-shirt. Kids & Teens will be broken up by age, weight and skill level to ensure fair competition. 50 Kids and Teen Divisions in all!

EARLIER START TIME FOR ALL COMPETITIORS (10 AM for KIDS & TEENS, 11 AM for ADULT NO-GI):
Kids & Teens Divisions will start at 10AM Sharp, please arrive before 9:30 (Rules Meeting) if you are under the age of 18. Adult Expert, Advance, Masters, Directors, Executive and Women's No-Gi Divisions will start at 11AM Sharp! Please arrive early if your are in these divisions! Doors open at 8 AM!!!
