Name the 1 move your coach hates that you do!

Whats up my brothers? Just wanted to see if others run into this. Do you have a move that you do, that works for you but your coach doesn't like that you do?

On the flip side, coaches whats the one technique you just don't like seeing?

Just a topic of discussion guys. :)

For me its a variation of the clock choke where I drop my elbow down by the opponent's shoulder. this set up does not control the lapel or wrist but I am able to control his posture with my weight and clock through. Coach hates it but it has always worked for me.

What about you guys?

The baseball bat choke, from being dominated in side control, he keeps telling me I'm giving up my arms if I miss it. Phone Post 3.0

I used to get in trouble for using 10th planet stuff lockdown ext was told get rid of it.

I'm there right now, rubber guard and leg locks I get shit for Phone Post 3.0

primarily train (trane) in the gi, so like some of you have said, if I lockdown to vaporizer or if my guard gets even a little high (get it?) I have to hear mumbling about "10th planet b.s."

10th planet stuff works, I don't get the hate.

Pulling guard. It's not that I can't take people down I just prefer to conserve energy. Lol Phone Post 3.0

Heelhooks. I train at an all nogi mma type gym but the coach is a gi guy and against most all leg locks

I feel that, freaking hate it. If you're experienced it should be legal Phone Post 3.0

Turtle. It is a real flaw I have. I go there all the damn time mainly because I feel pretty safe there. I also tend to lose scrambles because I am in terrible shape so I go to turtle where I am confident rather than get caught. It actually isn't just my coach. random other guys will say "get out of turtle fucker" when they see me turtling. It's pretty bad. I suck at jiujitsu though.

We are almost the opposite. Our coahces teaching gi classes teach footlocks and our nogi guy does sambo and has a million crazy leg locks and toe holds and shit so we get a lot of that stuff in.

When I started doing berimbolos as a blue belt, my instructor said "stop doing that crap, it doesn;t work at the highest level".

lol

Laying there motionless in someones side control trying to figure out if I have enough strenght, energy, or skill to do anything productice.  They hate that.

Wilson pass, because it breaks every rule of Jiu Jitsu. Phone Post 3.0

anything 10th planet, but especially the rubber guard...they hate that stuff!

that knuckle move from Seinfeld

Dominating positionally but not submitting.

Going to a turtle position for too long is about the only thing I really "hate" I don't feel a blue belt should be spending all their time on inversion and the berimbolo and all that either there is more stuff to get good at like guard retention and guard passing that they should be focusing on too. A little here and there is ok but some of these lower belts get obsessed and can't escape mount or side control or pass the guard worth a crap. I don't hate I illuminate. Phone Post 3.0

10th Planet stuff...Like the lockdown. I'm a fan, coach is not.
