The Nashville Grappling Open is only 4 weeks away and is shaping up to be one of the best tournaments ever in Nashville. Many teams are confirmed for June 12th, coming from all over the United States. Last years tournament had over 350 competitors and this year we are expecting to have much more. There are going to be gi and no gi divisions running on 6 mats. This tournament is one of the most organized in the country and matches are expected to end at a reasonable hour.

Brian Cimins, from Grapplersquest, is coming down to help run the all new rated system, where competitors can come and be rated in a national data base. Promotions using the all new rated system are Grapplersquest and The World Grappling Games. These are two of the premier tournament circuits in the United States and this Rated system is sure to grow.

Gumby from is coming down to run a booth and video tape and the infamous Scotty Nelson is rumored to be coming too. Scott may stay an extra 2 weeks in the U.S. so he can make his first trip to Nashville! Gumby has been at every tournament we have had in Nashville over the last three years. Big props to him for supporting the sport and supporting his good friends in Nashville! is doing an 8 man absolute division that has some of the top competitors in the world. 2 Abu Dhabi competitors have been confirmed being Jeff Monson from American Top Team and Brandon Vera from Team Lloyd Irvin. This is a seperate tournament in itself and is being run with the Badbreed 10 point must system.
