Conor vs Tony is the next fight, belts must be unified.
It’s great that Diaz vs Conor III will make a lot of money, but it will make about the same amount after Conor fights Tony regardless of if Conor wins or loses that unification bout.
If Conor fights Diaz next it makes zero sense other than to make money.
Having Diaz fight Fergusson actually loses Conor money because whoever loses is no longer going to be a money fight against Conor which they both are currently.

Amazing fight but the time for it was during the past 6 months. Tony even tried to get a buzz going for it but Nate made it clear he will only fight for top tier money.
I'd like to see what kind of draw Nate is without Conor. I think if he headlined a ppv with someone like Tony, it could do 500-700k buys.
That would be an interesting match up but I'm thinking Tony's wrestling would carry him to a decision win, but a very interesting fight for sure. If Tony wins it would surely boost his ppv numbers.
