"Canada is the US's pissing ground" - Nate Quarry
So a Canadian fucked Nate's woman, eh?
double post
I don't understand Nate. He gained so much popularity without fighting once on the reality show. The reason why he was so popular was because carried himself with class, respect and he spoke the truth.
Now, it appears as though he's willing to trade that nice guy image to become a bad ass by saying things like "Rich has a weak chin" and "Canada is America's pissing ground".
It sounds like someone crying for attention. Nate's not an idiot. He obviousy knows better than that. Therefore, I must conclude that he desparate to draw more attention to himself.
No matter because he'll get his medicine in two weeks time after which time he won't be chirping much anymore.
He's not trying to "become a bad ass". By saying what he thinks Rich weakness is, he's telling you how he plans to win the fight. Yes, he is HYPING his title fight. I'll never understand why people get so upset when fighters try to create a little bit of tension and drama to hype their fights. Yes, many of these fighters are polite, educated guys, but they don't have to be perfect gentlemen all the time. They're getting ready for a hard fight with eachother, let a bit of bad blood/trash talk flow. If Rich has a problem with the comment, let him try to take it out on Nate in the ring; no need for the fans to be upset.
And guys, seriously, as far as the Canada comments go, have a sense of humour! If you watch the clip you can see that the atmosphere is really, really light, they're all dicking around, and when Nate says it, Swick mugs for the camera. Just like when Hughes made his comments about Canada. It's all in good fun and there's no sense to get your feelings hurt about it. If anything, Canadians getting pissed on here just demonstrates a lack of a sense of humour. Just lighten up and relax. I know our home-grown comedy these days consists mostly of train wrecks like the Air Farce and Pop Cultured, but I still like to think that Canadians, as a whole, have a great sense of humour.
Antico I agree.Franklin will show him what a weak chin is.
He's gonna get hit hard by Franklin and lose the fight. Has anyone ever seen worse hand-positioning during stand-up in the history of the UFC??? Franklin will KO him in the first. As far as the Canadian pissing ground........lots of good Canadian fighters including St.Pierre/The crow.....what the hell as Nate done?????
Seriously, you need to relax. Anyone who watches that clip and thinks Nate is being serious, or trying to sound like a "bad ass" has, not only a complete lack of a sense of humour, but just so little common sense in general.
you're right Kellett, it does seem like he was trying to be sarcastic in some bizarre, poor taste, zero humor kind of way. no matter, it was a classless and dumb thing to say.
10 days until Nate gets KTFO.
We all say crap that's tasteless when we're shooting the bull with the guys. People need to get off their high horse, acting like they're saints who would never make fun of anyone or anything. The over reaction that the majority of the Canadian fans had to this minute, off-the-cuff remark does more to damage the reputation/perception of Canadians by the rest of the forum than anything Nathan Quarry could ever say.
I'd just like to add, that there is more then enough American stupidity around here to overshadow the worst of Canadian behaviour.
Damn. I remember when we Canadians could laugh at ourselves. Have we become that small penised individual that takes personal offence to everything. The guy is famous for getting his ankle hurt by accident on a tv show. Is his opinion, of which I'm sure he was joking, really bothering everyone that much??
yes ....yes we have
ttt for the last laugh
I got to meet Nate and he seems like a nice guy. Too bad the UFC set him up to eat his words.
Couture once said though if you stay around long enough you'll lose eventually.
Hopefully Nate makes some kind of comeback.
setting up a cross or straight left or right, by faking the jab seems to work more often then not if executed propely.
anyways, nice win for Franklin, who even showed he had good taste in music too with his entrance. But as much as I wasn't pleased with Quarry and his comments I would have liked to have seen him make a more competitive fight then that, as I can't say I enjoyed seeing him lay there the way he did.
what's up now?!?
