He's certainly knowledgable in american kenpo. I would not study Native American fighting arts from him without alot more convincing evidence than what he has been pushing over the last few years.

SCALPING
Who started the practice- Native Americans or Europeans?
I know I have some research at home from a couple of years ago, but I can't remember what my ultimate conclusion was.
I think the view used to be that it was a native practice, then the commonly held view today is that the Europeans started it, now I think the pendulum has headed back the other way. It's pretty clear that the Europeans promoted the practice, but did they promote an existing practice or initiate it?Jason
I believe they have found skeletons somewhere out west that date from long before Europeans came to the North American Continent, and the marks on the skulls indicate that some were indeed scalped.

Here is a good article I had bookmarked on the issue from a long time ago. In addition to this though, I remember reading fairly recently about a find in Siberia, I believe, that also showed evidence of prehistoric scalping. i know the Aztecs had like 2 warrior classes, one Eagle warrior and one Jaguar, the Eagle was like the lite infantry and the Jaguar was the heavy infantry. (found this out from "Age of Counquers")
