NC 10/20 UFC ppv needs Grapplers

New Championship bracket featured this night!!

If you missed it last time here's your chance!

8pm~10pm @ BWW of Hickory, NC This will be an excellent event in front of a live crowd on the same night as UFC PPV!! After the live grappling event we can all sit back and enjoy the UFC on TV.

NO ENTRY FEE FOR FIGHTERS!!
NO COVER CHARGE!!

Grapplers of all weight classes are welcome! This fight card will consist of 12~14 preset matches. Anyone wanting to test your skills should contact us with the following info.

We are looking for 4~8 fighters of the same weight range roughly for TWO SEPERATE championship brackets for this night. At the end of the night the two winners will be crowned as the Champion of the divisions!

As with last time there will be plenty of free stuff for all! This time around we will make enough T-Shirts for ALL competitors!

Schedule for fighters:
6pm. Competitor's rule meetings, weigh-ins, paperwork for all waivers and registration. S.A.G.A. Commissioner briefings. WEIGH-INS END AT 6PM The scale will be available from 4PM
8pm. Announcements, introductions, and grappling matches begin.
10pm. Grappling event ends before the UFC PPV begins at 10 pm so as not to overlap and interfere with customer's viewing of the UFC.
12pm/closing time. Ring will be broken down and removed in a timely manner. All ring equipment related mess will be cleaned up by S.A.G.A. staff.

Fighters need to bring:
-Clothes, appropriate for grappling. No foul language, metal or hard plastic.
-Mouth piece
-Towel, white
-Your water in a plastic bottle and your own spit bucket if you will be needing one.
-Limited to 1 coach and 1 cornerman at ringside during your match

AH - unless you can off up travel & perdiem money these guys won't be making your card.  That's alot of gas money to put up - just for fun.  Hell I pay the local guys $40 just to show up.  Sounds like a Bellbottoms event if you ask me - and most likely good times -but not to drive from Alabama to NC.

Once things build up I will be able to pay out some prize money in the future. But as far as kicking guys $40 each for showing. It's not going to happen, I do NOT charge them to enter. Nor do I charge the audience any money. Hence I make ZERO money on top of the fact that I pay for the promotional cost outta my own pocket.

I am doing this so that grapplers can gain much needed experience. I might be too much of a purist,..but it is not the time nor the place for people to be going mercenary. This is sport for the sake of sport.

Come if you want to. Don't come if you don't.

not trying to be an ass; and we do understand.  I just posted that from a promoters standpoint, I know how it feels to have the card lined up.  And it's always great to get experience but no one I know stays any more broke than fighters.  Also fighters will make long drives and fight where it costs them money just for the experience of doing so.  thanks for the info but fights are exploding in Alabama and they have the luxury of being able to fight closer to home.  good luck.

Ray, why do you always have to be such a dick?  I’m not going to apologize for running a show, but as usual – you act like we’re the only ones that charge for an event.  I guess good old Dan Mize is going to let everyone in for free at Bellbottoms, or Shuttlesworth, or Tom, or Jason.  Or maybe that grappling tournament run by SP that you’re so hot and bothered by is free.  Or maybe you’re being a jackass just to me and is the one that’s so butt hurt.  But by all means, please single us out.  You’re apparently good at what you do – which is grappling.  Why then are you not just happy to revel in that and leave the fighting to those that are happy doing that?  Do you see us asking your permission for anything?  I don’t see people lined up to get your stamp of approval./o:p
