Ne1 else hate the bully style fighters w/ no tech?

Guys like teymur, guida, manny gamburian etc etc that win fights but will never make it to the top of the mountain because they throw wild shots and their technique isn't great but they are tenacious and keep coming. I personally hate this style of fighter. I think it's ok in short burst but generally just a dumb strategy in the long run

You'll get hate for this thread but I'm with you.

I wouldn't put Teymur into that category

Teymur HAS technique.

Ill give Teymur the benefit of the doubt as he's never been out of the first round before. Now, if he comes out next time with the same style and gasses in 6 minutes again... THEN hes one the list. But yeah I generally dont enjoy "tough" fighters that only win on strength and aggression but little tech.

At least they are pushing the action and if the opponent is skilled enough they can catch them coming in.

Far worse are fighters who counterstrike and just backpedal the whole time. then they feel the need to taunt their opponent to engage lol. Or the old boring lay n pray wrestlers who'd just wildly shoot in and were content to lay in guard and just throw a few punches to stay active.

I was thinking more of Leslie Smith today.

Dude's got technique coupled with absolute ferocity. Love watching his fights.

Leslie Smith?

Their technique IS being tough as nails and zombie walking through shots.

I hear what you're saying op, but, no... i appreciate those fighters who might not have precision accuracy,  but they make up for it with tenacity.

The title is a little tongue in cheek, I don't hate the fighter, more so the style

GUMBY ? - Teymur HAS technique.

Yeah. Overhand overhand overhand hands down, kick as hard as you can and telegraph spinning elbows, such a technique

Smith at least three straight punches, she didn't strike me as wild and reckless, I loved her come forward no matter what style, I don't consider that to be a reckless bully style where you just swing and move fast and act wild ala clay guida or the new Diego sanchez

Op referring to a specific type of technique? Guida has pretty nice wrestling for mma. Manny's Judo and grappling are pretty nice. Sounds like op is referring strictly to striking technique?

I love Team Quest fighters, so no. Tough guys with a simple style that always works no matter the era.

It's hard for me to really pinpoint what I mean, the overall style, they all clearly have good technique in certain areas clays wrestling mannys judo etc etc but as a whole they seem to just wing it and go wild. They throw huge looping arm punches, wing kicks as hard as possible, keep their hands low, they don't really have clean technique it's just brawl at all cost even if it's detrimental to them

Not at all what I'm talking about. Tough== reckless or sloppy

BOBBY HOFFMAN was the epitome of bully fighter and he was compelling to watch back in the days.

They always listed him as " Has Heavy Hands "
