When I open up a new browser window,it is puny on the upper left corner of the screen. It used to open full size, does anybody know what setting is causing this?
Usually the window opens at the size of the last window that was closed.
So try making an IE window as big as you want it, close it, and then open a new one. If the new one is still small, you probably have some spyware or something going on.
Anyone with any other ideas related to this problem?
Andrew is correct AFAIK (but it is very annoying behavior IMO)
Andrew...is there a way to force the status bar to appear if it isn't explicitly turned off? Right now I open a window and I think it takes the visibility status of the last closed window and applies it to the new window. I want all manually opened ie windows to have a status bar. thanks for any help
THANKS, THANKS A LOT
anyone else? lol
I just read this. Open exactly one window of IE. Get it to the size you want and get the status bar on.
Now hold down shift as you click on the X in the upper right hand corner to close the window. Now the settings you had when the window was closed will become the defaults.
I don't know if it makes any difference, I haven't tried it.
