7. Faber
8. Sandro

5. Fabiano
6. Torres
7. Jorgensen
8. Mizugaki
9. Katsumura
10. Valencia
Where is Grispi?
Hansen has won 2 of his last 5 fights. He shouldn't even be top 10 let alone top 5.
Isn't Hansen 0-1 at 145?
lol @ putting him in the top 10, much less ahead of Brown, Faber, etc.
Hansen is #5 because his LW point total carries over to FW, and because FW is a much thinner division than LW.
Lush Rimbaugh - Aldo
Gamburyan
Brown
Faber
Garcia/Jung
WEC isnt the only organization for FW.
Who did Mendes beat to earn that ranking? Dude went pro less than two years ago, I'd put someone more deserving in his place like Hatsu Hioki
Mendes was something like #30 at the beginning of the year. Most of his ranking boost came from beating Eric Koch, but choking out Morrison bumped him up a few spots as well.
Hioki is #11. He was top 5 before he lost to Omigawa. It's a computerized system so it can't see that it was a crap decision. That loss moved him down to #7, and then slowly people have leapfrogged him over the last 5 months because he's been inactive.
JimmersonzGlove -GaGasSoldierDickTuks2 - Hansen has won 2 of his last 5 fights. He shouldn't even be top 10 let alone top 5.
What's Uriah's record in his last 5?
Faber has been a mainstay in the division for years, beating many top guys. Hellboy fights @ 145 1 time,loses....yet gets ranked above Faber. Does that make sense to you?
the problem with Hansen is he looked awful at 145. completely dead on his feet from the opening bell
otherwise i wouldnt really have a problem with ranking him
I understand that the Hansen ranking is strange to most. FightMatrix is a computerized system where each fighter has a point total. The point totals don't get zeroed out when a guy switches weight classes, so that's what produces a strange ranking like Hansen's. It helped a lot that LW is much deeper than FW. The #10 LW has more points than the #2 FW right now. It also doesn't hurt that he went to a split decision with a top 5 FW.
Honestly, controversial decisions in Japan screwed up the FW rankings pretty good. Omigawa should not be that high, and Sandro and Hioki should be higher.
I just can't trust Fight Matrix. They still have me listed at HWT.
Omigawa is the only big surprise to me in those rankings.
If you're not fighting at HW now, you should send them an e-mail and they'll switch your division.
I mentioned to them that I wouldn't be fighting at HWT again anytime soon, and they told me I would automatically move back down when I fought again. I've fought at LHWT twice since then, but they don't seem to have been recorded, and the only movement was going lower in the HWT rankings.
I made a post on the "corrections" section of their forum for you. Hopefully it gets sorted out. It's possible that they don't have your last 2 fights recorded.
I was aware of the possibility. Thanks for posting in there. I don't check in there very often, so I didn't even notice a corrections sections.

Ridiculous how you people count or don't count good performances outside of the weight division depending on whether or not you like the fighter, or whether you like WHERE he fights... LOL.
Seriously. Hansen has one fight and he lost it, lets make him number 5. What a fucking joke.

Uh, what do you not understand about this being a "computerized" system? Nobody is giving Hansen any preferential treatment here.
I'm drunk. Leave me alone!
Okay I understand. Actually I think accomplishments in other weight classes SHOULD be taken into consideration.
