MMAWeekly World MMA Rankings last updated on April 25, 2007

I think the top 8 are correct and the fighters deserve there rankings, but Febricio Werdum, and Aleksander Emlianenko in the 9th and 10th spot. I mean come on there are alot more suitable fighters that could eaisly replace them, like Jeff Monson or Matt Lindland ( ROFL JK )

How can Gonzaga be below CC with how badly he just dismantled him.

Gonzaga below CroCop = DUMB

"How can Gonzaga be below CC with how badly he just dismantled him."

Easy, He hasn't fought the level of competition of CC has, he isn't as proven, he only has 9 professional fights under his belt. Crocop is just a better fighter then him and we will see this when crocop makes his return into the octagon.

Gonzaga below Cro Cop is perhaps the most ridiculous thing ever.

LOL at "he is just a better fighter" after the severity with which he got his ass handed to him. Wake up, CroCop can move back up the ranks when he shows it was a fluke, and not before that. CroCop above Gonzaga is the height of retardation.

It wasn't even a decision. It was a one sided GnP then KTFO beatdown. At no point during that fight did CroCop display one ounce of superority,

That ranking is retarded.

"Crocop is just a better fighter then him"

Uhh, that's certainly debateable.

When you beat someone you don't just get their spot in the rankings.

I didnt say he should get his spot. I think he should be above Cro Cop though.

Listen, Rankings are done by stats on paper. Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic is 22-5-2 with wins over Kazuyuki Fujita, Wanderlei Silva, Heath Herring, Igor Vovchanchyn, Ron Waterman, Kevin Randleman, Aleksander Emelianenko, Josh Barnett, and Mark Coleman and his only loses coming to some of the best HW's in the buisness. On the other hand Gabriel "Napao" Gonzaga is 9-1 with a loss coming to Febricio Werdum, sure it was early in his career but it's still a loss.

Gonzaga has wins over some tought competiton like Brandon Lee Hinkle(12 - 8 - 0), Charlie Brown (0 - 1 - 0) the proof is in the pudding, Crocop even with his loss to Gonzaga still rank's higher then Gabriel anyday of the week.

This is the GREAT Charlie Brown

Loss Gabriel Gonzaga Submission (Exhaustion) JF 2 - Jungle Fight 2 5/15/2004 3

The rankings look pretty good to me. I think I'd have Sergi over Werdum and Aleksander.

Cro Cop being higher than Gonzanga is ok.

Consistancy is what's important in rankings. Now that Serra beat GSP I think I'd put Hughes at the top of the 170lbs division again.

"Crocop even with his loss to Gonzaga still rank's higher then Gabriel anyday of the week."

If by "higher then" you mean "lower by any functional ranking model than" then you would be correct.

"Consistancy is what's important in rankings. Now that Serra beat GSP I think I'd put Hughes at the top of the 170lbs division again. "

No your most recent fights are what matters in rankings.  Hughes does not move up the ladder because GSP who destroyed him lost... if anything GSP getting owned hurts Hughes ranking.

I'm not gonna argue with you people. Fact is CC is below Napao now.

Also...

I wanna hear you people on here Justify Sokudjou being ranked 5th @ 205 right now.

What consistancy has he had ?

I would say drop CC to sixth and move everyone else up one. You could also make an arguement to move Randy and Gonzaga above Barnett.

Sok has to be higher than 5th. He should be second behind Shogun.

Smac --- They said it is all based on consistancy... I want to hear their consistancy justification for Sok's ranking.
