New Laptop DOA

So I just bought a new gaming laptop from Xotic PC. It arrived pretty much DOA. It doesn’t charge like its supposed too and it shuts completely off if I try to play any game

I now have to send it back to them to have fixed, am I crazy to think that I’m at least owed an apology. You figure you spend $1500 its not house but its a decent size amount to alot of people. I have to fill out a form and wait for them to get back to me to just send it back to them. Then they’re going to have to hold on to it to fix it. So I’m out a laptop and $1500 for the next couple weeks.

I’ve gotten nothing from them except what I’m supposed to do with this hunk of junk. Should I ask for another laptop or have this one fixed? I really don’t know what to do.

Run diag on it to figure out what's going on. You can probably fix the thing yourself without breaking your warranty or having to send it back to them

Its obviously a power related issue. Which means its either poor wiring or a bad power supply. Either way, it’s out of the scope of my expertise to fix and would cost me more money. Why should I have to pay for their mistakes?

No I mean if it's a gaming laptop you may be able to pull the keyboard or open it up without voiding your warranty and just make sure everything is plugged in all the way. Often times with custom built gaming laptops that come from places like that as opposed to an MSI or Asus laptop the shit is getting hand built by a smaller group of people, its more common on desktops but happens with laptops from places like Xotic, ORIGIN and ibuypower
