This clips not a good look for Conor. Being countered by short reach, wide punching, stationary Artem isn't that appealing to watch when in talks with one of the best boxers of all time..

What the f are you talking about? Did you see the distance, entry and striking angles? All he has to do is cut Floyd off and step into it, Floyd cant take Conor's onslaught while Mcgregor eats Floyds peanut brittle taps.

I love Conor in MMA and think he is something special. Long reach, and knows how to use it. Great timing and understanding of distance. Confident striking. That being said, if that sparring is real, Mayweather will TKO Conor within one round.

Are you serious?
If that's all he has to do why hasn't anyone else including pacquaio done it?

Most people don't know shit about boxing~Roger Mayweather
Yeah but we still saw some things. Keep in mind that he was boxing a slow dude with terrible boxing but he got tagged and backed up twice.
His stance is ineffective for boxing. He was doing his karate or TDK in and out style but if there's no kicking threat, you'll get murdered vs a counter puncher with basic footwork.
The guy he was boxing was throwing awful wide looping punches and he managed to connect because the guard wasn't tight.
Mayweather would basically kill him at will, despite having glass hands.

exactly.
10 seconds and he was tagged by a slow sloppy puncher. The gloves change the game.
Artem and Conor spar hundreds of rounds together, you don't know when this clip was taken, could have been at the end of a long sparring session, could have been prepping for Artems fight and not Conor's, when you work with someone as often as these two you get to know each other's tendency's. Emanuel Steward once said that the fighters with the best chance of beating Thomas Hearns were the sparring partners out of his own gym.
I like Conor, but if that clip was to indicate he's preparing seriously for boxing, just a look at the quality of his sparring partner makes it embarrassing.
Conor talks about his elusiveness and unique movement as one way he poses a threat to Floyd. But Conor's movement is built for MMA - his stance, his angles, and a lot of the way he moves, keeps distance and baits has to do with the existence of kicking distance, threats of kicks, mixing it up, etc. Much of the threats and baiting available to Conor in MMA will be unavailable in a boxing match, where the only threat he has are his hands, and having to fight like a boxer.

Exactly. His kicks open up a lot for his boxing in mma. The only time he hasn't had to use his kicks to manage distance and confuse his opponents with mixing it up was when he faced guys who would charge recklessly and lunge at him ( Aldo, Alverez, Brimage).
