*nEw* Pedro Rizzo interview

Short, sweet, and to the point. Looks like we might be seeing him in PRIDE soon, hopefully.

Pedro kicks ass. That is all. Discuss.

boom

I think Pedro's style will be really suited to pride you always see him wanting to kick people in the head on the floor after he sprawls on them. Also you know he's going to drop knee's from the front heedlock or head and arm position.

I've been saying this for a long time and would love to see it come to fruition.

"I'm still with Marco this guy teach me everything. I will never leave him".

Thats all I need to hear. Spare us the next "New Pedro Rizzo" which will surely preceed his next fight.

Pedro Rizzo is one of the best heavyweights in the world

When Pedro is on he is one of the best but when he is out of his gmae like his past couple of fights he is average. He could kill people in Pride if he got his aggression back and went after people and tried to end the fight all the time.

Global MMA: Pedro, first I would like to thank you for taking the time too answer these questions.
Pedro: No problem.

Global MMA: The last time we seen you fight was at UFC 45 where you defeated Ricco Rodriguez. What have you been doing since then?
Pedro: I have been training because I've had some offers to fight, so I keep training and improving some weak points in my game.

Global MMA: There have been rumors floating around that you may be fighting for PrideFC in the near future, is this true?
Pedro: Yes and no. I have talked with Pride's promoters but I haven’t signed anything yet.

Global MMA: When will we see Pedro Rizzo back in the ring?
Pedro: I don't know yet, but I hope as soon as possible.

Global MMA: How has training been going? Are you still training with Marco Ruas?
Pedro: The training is going well, always hard. I'm still with Marco this guy teach me everything. I will never leave him.

Global MMA: You recently returned from Holland, how was your trip?
Pedro: The trip was very good, I worked on my kickboxing, I did sparring almost everyday and sometimes twice a day. I trained with the best guys maybe ten different heavyweights. I always go to Holland improve my strikes with Peter Aerts. So stand up no problem.

Global MMA: You have defeated many of the top Heavyweights in the World. Is there anybody you would like to fight in particular If so, why?
Pedro: I wanna fight with the top fighters, I never choose my opponents. I still wanna prove that I'm one of the best heavyweights in the world.

Global MMA: Next I'd like to do some word association. I'll name a fighter and you can tell me what you think about them....

Global: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Pedro: Best submissions.

Global: Fedor Emelianenko
Pedro: Tough!

Global: Wanderlei Silva
Pedro: Very aggressive

Global: Randy Couture
Pedro: Strategist

Global: Andrei Arlovski
Pedro: Tough

Global: Ricco Rodriguez
Pedro: Good ground game.

Global MMA: Anything you would like to say to your fans?
Pedro: I just would like to say that I'll be back much more aggressive and knocking people out!

Global MMA: Thanks again for taking the time to talk to us and we hope to see you back in action in the near future.
Pedro: Thank You.

can't wait to see him in pride.

Would be great to see him in Pride. Most here would probably disagree, but I'd pick him to beat Cro Cop and Minotauro.

ttt

ttt for the Rock !

lol @ anybody dissing Pedro. Other than Randy, I don't believe anybody's ever put a real hurtin' on Rizzo (and Rizzo put a hurtin' on Randy as well). The Vladdy fight was ridiculous (Vladdy laying on him the whole fight....and Rizzo not being aggressive). That was a spanky doodle dandy fight. Rizzo has a chance to beat anybody at anytime......

I'm surprised they didn't ask him about Cro-Cop. That would be a sweet match.

Really i like to see him in Pride he can be the best fighter in the heavy weight division.

I'm with RSB-NHBFAN. As long as he's with Marco (who also won't pull the trigger) he'll still be the same Rizzo. If his opponent isn't aggressive, he won't finish people. I think he matches up really well with some of NHB's elite, but poorly against others. He's also been responsible for several of the most boring fights of all time. Good fighter or not, unless he's against someone like Cro-Cop, I'm not going to be exicted about a return.

would like to see him in Pride. Say what you want Pedro Rizzo is a top HW.

ttt for the Riz

i'd say fedor would be the only guy in pride pedro would have no chance of beating ;)

I know this is prolyl an unpopular opinion, but I can't wait to see Pedro fight again.

I really liked him but have been supremely frustrated watching his last few fights.

I end up yelling at the TV at Pedro to step it up.

IMHO, I think Pedro's biggest fighting flaw is mental. He needs to take some Dr. Jeckyl/Mr. Hyde juice and become ultra aggro!

no doubt
