You ever notice that the only way to find out about a tournament or seminar is to check out the UG or sherdog, or hear about it from friend?
This was my thought when I created a new website: www.iCompete.org. At its core it's a way to track events that match what you're interested and notify you when new events are added, all free of charge. I created it specifically for the BJJ/submission wrestling community but decided to open it up for all martial arts (as there was really no reason not too).
Anyhow - check out the site (www.iCompete.org), sign up for a free account, and set up your subscriptions in the subscriptions tab that outline the type of events you are interested in (and share the site with anyone else you think might be interested). Also - If you know of any events that are planned PLEASE add them to the system as the more events the better. The site right now doesn't have much (I just threw in 3 events that I found on the UG front page), but as people add more events the usefulness of the site will increase. If you have any suggestions on how to make the site better I'd love to hear em.
I really think this type of website can benefit the community - and as long as people use it - I think it will.
