I was just reading that there's going to be a totally new theme tune to go with the new intro debuting tomorrow night.
It is by this guy called Hans Zimmer who does movie scores, he has done a shitload of them for big blockbuster movies, although looking through his long resume I saw plenty of films I knew, but not a single one that I thought 'oh that movie had great music'.
So I think he's no great musical genius, but will come up with some reliably generic hollywood type orchestral/percussive thing, judging from his other work?
What dyou think? I think it could be okay but I will miss the screaming metal mong music! It was catchy at least and I don't know if this new theme will be catchy, or just boring, certainly this guy has never come up with a star wars or superman quality theme tune, I'm not saying he's bad just from what I heard it was kind of premium grade movie filler music.
The Sherlock Holmes and Requiem for a Dream soundtracks were great. Looking forward to what he did for the UFC theme.

Zimmer is a beast... how the fuck do you noobs not know/love his music? I could go on but here are just a few timeless soundtracks he's done. Pumped to hear this new intro (if he is in fact doing it... )
