Jones-Evans would definitely be the best for entertainment! But if they couldn't hook that up Griffin - Bonnar might be a fitting tribute. Also I think the lightweights should get a turn again. Problem is Edgar's to modest to make decent television.
basing this more around personalities and 'story lines,' less about matchups that are likely or even relevant.
hw= pat barry/travis browne
lhw= jones/rashad (but seriously they just need to fight) or maybe give a spot to phil davis vs gustafsson?
mw= sonnen/silva (doubt they'd do another mw season but this would be epic) stann vs belcher? rumble wouldnt be bad either if he's sticking around mw for a while.
ww= fitch could use a bump, maybe vs rumble too, although preferably against someone else with a style similar to his.
lw= possibilities are endless this division is packed like a tokyo subway car.
cerrone/guillard would be fireworks if they didnt come from the same camp. maybe cerrone/etim?
gsot/bocek would be fun for the grapple-off.
fw= gotta have mike brown, maybe vs bartimus?
bw= torres/faber would be a dream come true so i'll just leave it at that.

Remember since they are doing the shows live it's not going to take as much time to get the coaches fights in. Maybe 70 days from the start of the show? I think for the first season on the Fox Networks they should have some high end talent and big personalities. I like the idea of Jones/Rashad if Jones beats Lyoto either that or maybe Frankie Edgar and Bendo if he beats Guida.

Torres/Faber, Jones/Rashad, JDS or Cain/vs Brock or Overeem, Edgar vs Guida or Bendo are the only realistic ones.

Not really, the TUF format is changed now, the fights are live so you don't have that two month span in between when the coaches are announced and the show airs. I would imagine if they started airing in February then Rashad/Jones would be fighting in May at the latest. If they started in January then they would be fighting in late March or April.
i suppose they're kind of starting from scratch, as far as building fighter names, probably more likely they'll stick with champs.
but.
i think it all depends on how the zuffers want to sell the sport and more importantly, the UFC brand.

Even with the new live format, based on the season the tuf finale is in june, so the coaches fight will be a week later.
Lidell Franklin was mid june.
JDS/brock (carwin) was mid june.
Hendo/bisping was in july. (held off for ufc 100)

It's 2 months too early to even speculate. So much will happen by the end of January!
I would be excited to see Overeem as a coach... Anyone have any idea when the next Heavyweight TUF might happen?
