NFLer from TUF saying it was the hardest workout..

they have ever done.....

True or UFC promotional machine?

discuss....

True.

a) ufc hype

or

b) reason they didn't make it in the nfl

marcus jones was fairly successful in the NFL. 1st round pick, 6 years in the league with some descent sack numbers.

i think this is true. he played football his whole life and knows a tough workout. you could see it in his eyes in that episode he was hurting.

I can only guess that it's a different kind of workout for him or something.

Lol @ this guy not making it in the NFL: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/J/JoneMa20.htm

If you actually listen to why he says what he does, rather than shutting down rational thought out of desperate cognotive dissonance, he paints a very interesting picture and gives a good explanation of why football players don't generally train conditioning for hurry-up or 2 minute offenses.

Marcus stated on the show that it was simply a different type of workout. Full go for extended periods vs very brief periods of exertion followed by rest time. It was Schaub who said it was the toughest workout anyway.
