NFLX Shares Up With Record User Growth!!

NFLX is up to $107.83 in after hours trading which is roughly 9.9% and the equivalent of $754.81 before the split that took place today. And the climb continues...

Netflix shares rose 10 percent in after-hours trading as the Los Gatos company said it saw record growth in subscribers in the quarter to more than 65 million.

The company topped analysts' forecasts for earnings per share.
The company had more than 42 million subscribers in the United States and 23 million abroad.
“We added a Q2 record 3.3 million new streaming members, compared to 1.7 million in the previous year quarter,” Netflix said in a letter to shareholders.

The bulk of that growth, 2.4 million members, occurred internationally, while it added 900,000 members in the U.S.
“We believe the higher than anticipated level of acquisition was fueled by the growing strength of our original programming slate, which in Q2 included the first seasons of Marvel’s Daredevil, Sense8, Dragons: Race to the Edge and Grace and Frankie as well as season 3 of Orange is the New Black,” the company said.

“We are at the forefront of a wave of global Internet TV adoption and intend to make our service available throughout the world by the end of 2016,” Netflix said.

Its second-quarter earnings per share came in at 6 cents, topping the average estimate of 4 cents from 33 analysts on Yahoo Finance.

Netflix reported second-quarter revenue of $1.64 billion, slightly below the average $1.65 billion forecast of 36 analysts on Yahoo Finance.

Netflix's previously announced seven-for-one stock split took effect on Tuesday.
