Nick Diaz returns to fight Vicente Luque Aug 3

Vincente last win was over Dos Anjos, August 2023.

Nick didnt really train for Lawler, so hopefully he gets a real camp and has a great showing

Hopefully a full camp makes a difference. If these stats are correct, Nicks last win was BJ in 2011. Doesn’t seem right that would be his most recent win.

No odds have been posted, but I’m assuming Nick will be a huge underdog.

I’m as big a fan of the Diaz brothers as anyone and I just don’t see Nick winning this fight.

SEEING AS HOW THIS WILL TAKE PLACE OVERSEAS AND THEY WONT BE TESTED, I HOPE NICK GETS ON ANY/EVERY PED HE CAN AND TRAINS HIS ASS OFF FOR THIS FIGHT.
THOSE TOWEL HEADS IN ABU DHABI WOULD LOVE TO SEE AN OLD FASHIONED NICK DIAZ BOXING BEATDOWN.

Two tough mdfkrs, great fight

Luque has no boxing, prime Nick would toy with him, dunno about todays Nick

I also hope we get a pissed off and annoyed Nick in the interviews and press conferences leading up to this fight. That’s how we will know if Nick is motivated.

Sign me the fuck up no matter what year it is. I will always pull up a seat for a Diaz fight, either one of them. At the very least, it should be entertaining, and there will be a buzz in the arena adding to the excitement as he makes his entrance.

And in fairness, Luque looks like absolute dog shit in his last fight. So much so that I thought the fucking fix was in, as I lost money on my parlay. If that’s any indication, he may have entered the BJ Penn/Tony Ferguson phase of his career, where the rapid decline just appeared out of nowhere and there was no turning back.

Same could be said for Nick… but I will always have faith in him showing up to put on a competitive fight with a proper camp.

^ He obviously wasn’t getting GSP… or maybe that fight could have lured George out of retirement? Not likely… but those last three fights would all be fun.

On paper, at 32, Luque should still be in his prime.

Diaz needs his edge back, so I say take away his medicinal marijuana STAT.

“Stockton, motherfucker, Stockton!”

Would have been an easy win for Covington at this point

Would rather see Nick vs Holland or Page
