Nick Diaz Was Licking His Chops Last Night

The GSP he observed cageside last night can be beaten by Nick.

Nick knows this. Everyone else should know this by now.

Unfortunately, this fight looks like a lose-lose for Georges. There is a 1% chance that he finishes this fight. If he does win, it will most likely be by boring decision. People will once again start doubting his abilities, his killer instinct. His popularity will continue to plummet.

Luckily for us, Nick Diaz doesn't participate in boring fights. He just doesn't believe in it, he's a bonafide fighting machine who looks to take you out asap.

Diaz will do everything in his power to finish GSP within 3 rounds, and I hope for the sake of the 170 pound division, he does.

Diaz has the cardio to gas GSP off of his back.

DO IT DANA!

agree with everything there.

he would dominate nick. youre bascially making excuses for diaz. if he loses its ok because he tried to finish the fight and gsp is boring. if nick is this powerhouse he'll find a way to win. i think you know deep down that gsp woud maul nick with gnp and theres nothing diaz can do about it. nothing. Werent you one of the guys who said jake would submit gsp?? How did that turn out? he didnt even get him to the ground.

I never once said Jake would win that fight. I actually gave him a 0 percent chance of winning that fight. Zero. His stand up looked improved but it is still light years behind Nick's striking.

Jake's only shot of winning that fight was getting on top of GSP. I think he realized this wasn't going to happen the moment he tried his first single leg. Which is why he was forced to stand and not do much of anything.

I think when you say he will "dominate" Nick, you really mean that he'll get take down after take down and do nothing with it. Which is a possibility. Otherwise, he will get beat up on the feet and maybe subbed on the ground as well.

GSP can wrestlefuck Diaz all day.

People simply want to believe - I guess I don't blame 'em. GSP makes it look like such a walk in the park everytime that they may as well have a second UFC WW title just for the rest of the division so they have a chance to hold it.

Great interview.

I hate the way GSP fights, but he could take down Nick and hold him there all day.

crazy joe is correct. takedown, takedown, takedown. nick is pissed after he loses a boring decision.

"Im not one to talk no shit" Nick Diaz.

From that interview above Nick just wants to be tested in the cage or a ring.. He wants the step up in competition and is not afraid to take as ass whopping from it.. he said. Give Nick what he wants he very much deserves it and would make some great money for the UFC.

And you can also see how cool and carm Nick is when there is no pressure on him.. Compare these to his "fight interviews" were there is alot more on his mind..Great interview.

crazy to watch Nick being interviewed by Nosferatu

I'd love to see that fight. I think Nick's game could give GSP problems. Nick's slick off his back. He's got good boxing and he likes to mix it up. I do think it has potential to be a LnP type fight though, which would suck.

On a side note, is nick on coke? That interview is ridiculous.

LOL come on silly people....GSP's gameplans aren't exactly a secret at this point.

Gameplan A: Wrestle for top control
Gameplan B: Jab

If fighter is not a wrestler, use A.
If fighter is not a striker, use B.

Wrestling is Diaz's big weakness so GSP will dry hump him to Bolivia.

What do you guys think about Diaz vs. Silva?

Last night he was trying to work in an overhand right and a spinning roundhouse but yah, you are correct.

Trust -  Diaz will get crushed by takedown attrition.  GSP will take him down at will, punch him a few times to score points, then let him up, rinse, repeat.

Thats one of the few good Diaz interviews Ive seen....maybe its Helwani that throws him off or something but he didnt seem as awkward as he usually does.

The guy from Sprockets Germany got a great interview out of Nick....

Georges > Diaz. The world knows this. If it wasn't true uncle Dana would have signed him years ago. Phone Post
