I was reading something in our Swedish papers yesterday and today that made me realize it would be the worst situation ever. Apparently some guy had a brain hemorrhage and was taken to the hospital. After a while, the doctors declared him
dead in front of him and his relatives and they started discussing what kind of organ donations they were going to do.
Only problem the dude was still alive, not only that his vision and hearing worked perfectly fine. He was heavily doped up on Fentanyl however and wasn't able to move at all or talk. A few days later another doctor looked at him and looked at some X-rays and realized he wasn't in as bad of shape as they thought. They lowered the Fentanyl dosage and he made a recovery. They interviewed him afterwards and he said he could hear everything they were saying and was freaking out thinking about death and life after death and what was gonna happen.
That shit gives me cold chills just imagining that dudes situation, the frustration, panic and stress that must be. Holy balls. 
Oh. My. God. That is the most horrifying thing I could think of.

On the radio today I heard a family is suing a doctor for erroneously declaring their mother dead. After declaring her they bagged her up and put her in freezer. When they did autopsy later they found bruises and cuts on her body. They think she regained consciousness in the freezer and tried getting out. She died anyways.

It sounds like they thought he was brain dead, and told the family he would not recover.
