Unless there was a good reason (i.e. for some reason Spike or the athletic commission told them not to talk about it, or BJM requested that they didn't acknowledge it), the UFC really should have taken a minute to thank BJM and hold a small ceremony for him.
I agree. He's the face of UFC as much as any fighter, like it or not.
goldie was very enthusiastic about introducing big John just before the main event. but other than that, no mention.
