No shame if Kimbo loses...

I expect Kimbo to lose next week as I'm sure most do. But, I don't think it means much for someone like Kimbo to lose to a guy with Nelson's experience and skill. They'll probably shift gears and focus on Kimbo cooking and shit as was mentioned in blogs. Either way I hope Kimbo at least puts up a little fight, and it makes me pretty confident that UFC will keep Kimbo if he loses.

I feel he actually showed what kind of dude he really is by even coming on the show. He has soooo much to lose , he was getting 300k for fights and could have kept doing that in Japan. Instead he wanted to show he is a fighter. I actually gained a lot of respect for a guy who I thought was a joke.

Same.

I don't fault Kimbo for anything he's gotten so far in his career-- blame the promoters for offering it to him. What the hell was Kimbo supposed to say? Gee, thanks for the offer? Name me the fighter in this sport who would turn it down.. If you can, more power to you.

I gained a tremendous amount of respect for Kimbo here. Granted, being on Spike TV and this show is only going to add to his resume, regardless of how badly he loses to Nelson (which we all seem to universally agree is going to happen). He could have held out for more money, and perhaps more "prestige" fights, but decided to do this show to prove his mettle and to learn more. I respect him for that.

They didn't bring him in to win.

i suspect he will lose. even if he does i have no prob with the ufc keeping him around.
he genuinely seems to want to learn.
the ufc would do better and make more money off him to build him and put him against equal level fighters and not throwing him to the best.

ditto. im still a closet fan tho, cause living in south florida, the only people that rooted for him in the seth fight at the sports bar i was at were a couple of whitetrash lookin wigger kids, and a bunch of hatian dishwashers. every time i see public kimbo fans they are idiot ass ghetto kids that cant even spell mma. so i will stay a closet fan and root for him only on the interwebs

Warrior Bahn - To bad he didnt fight one of the other guys we've seen so far

yeah pointless to have him fight a ringer

He did lose. It's not a disgrace in reality, but it is a disgrace in terms of the public perception, because they made Nelson look like a clown.

If Kimbo beats Roy, he's going to the finals to fight "Titties"
