Why no one should be surprised if Kimbo beats Ray Mercer.
1) Mercer is 15 years past his prime.
2) Mercer hasn't been in shape for a fight in 20 years.
3) Mercer hasn't looked good in a fight in 7 years maybe longer.
4) Surely Kimbo realizes the importance of this fight with regard to the future of his career and is probably taking it very seriously.
I used to be a big Ray Mercer fan and in his day he would have destroyed Kimbo, unfortunately his day was was in 1992.

Kimbo cannot be taken seriously unless he avenges his loss to Gannon. Kimbo is being refered to as an Underground Fighting Champion.
Gannon beat him, so Kimbo is simple a Ungerground fighting contender at best.
Gannon v Kimbo II should happen. Definitely more intriguing than a bout with an old Mercer that could merely be putting Kimbo over.
