I just don't even care to entertain the idea. It's not going to happen.
Granted, Trigg is a great fighter, but he lacks the sheer skill that Hallman has shown in the past. With 2 decisive wins over Hughes, a guy who just recently made Trigg his first round bitch, Hallman's got a statement to make coming back into the UFC. I feel that this is a chance Hallman's been waiting for a little bit longer than Franky. It's not that I dislike Trigg, it's that I feel he is outmatched by a fighter who possessed enough technique to take out a fighter who tapped him out within what could be considered seconds.
Not only that, but as hard as he trains, Frank Trigg does not have a winning attitude. He has a confident and determined attitude, but I'm lead to believe that some of the things he chooses to put into his own head end up hurting him. Catch the shit he had to say about Hughes before their fight... "Better *family*??????" Come on, what's that about? What's that have to do with the fight at hand, BRO?????
I'm calling Hallman to tap him out.
Your analysis seems focused on how the fighters talk and who has waited longer.
I see a fast, dominant wrestler in Trigg. The man has had a lot of success in MMA. He is probably more athletic than Hallman, and definitely a better wrestler. If he can avoid subs, he can ground and pound Hallman to victory.
Granted, given Hallman's ground work, that is a big if. But if anyone can pull it off, Trigg is the one.
it will be a good match
Should be a good fight.
I'm pretty confident Hallman will win.
"I'm pretty confident Hallman will win."
I'm Pretty confident Hallman will loose.
i still dont get why people say hallman made trigg his bitch in their first fight. im proabably one of the 5% of the people that have seen that fight and no guy had any momentum up until the kick in the groin. i see this fight being one of the best fights on the card. i realize Trigg losing on PPV in his last fight makes him suck ass, but some people may be suprised
i ran into frank the other day in el segundo. he looks strong and ready to me.
i'll never bet against frank. he's a tough mofo.
Ghost- Using "Bitch" to describe a fighter in what (I think)is supposed to be a serious analysis discredits everything you say. It reeks of a biased agenda.

Not biased... he tapped in the first. That's all.
Trigg is a better wrestler in pure wrestling, look at his credentials. But, Hallman has done a much better job of incorporating his wrestling into an overall fight game. Hallman will submit Trigg, or maybe beat him down like he was doing at WFA.
"Catch the shit he had to say about Hughes before their fight" uh see Hallman before the Pulver fight... shit talk with a lisp. Has nothing to do with fighting either, but that's where YOU took the discussion (with all due respect to Mr. Hallman, who I've never met but I think is a damn decent fighter and really seems to be a cool cat).
So Hallman is better than JJ Machado (who Trigg beat the living shit out of IMHO). Ever see Trigg vs. Iha in Pride? I think Trigg HAS to be the favorite going into this fight. The respective Hughes fights really don't have any bearing on this discussion, the Hallman fights were too long ago. Hallman couldn't take out Pulver, do you really think he could armbar Hughes again right now?
Matchups make fights. I'm looking forward to the fight, but Trigg is the favorite in this matchup.

It was a comment based on his mentality, not his ethic or his accentuation.
