Nobody has said it yet regarding UFC NYE card...

It sucks. Remember when PRIDE had an NYE card. It was THE event. UFC should take notes of K-1 and spend on some big names. I have zero interest for their upcoming card.

who is fighting?

* i remember years ago when I was knowing 3 to 4 months in advance which fight would be in the card. now I just check the day before and dowload the fights that interrest me (most of the time none)

Good fights. I am excited about this card. Silva/Vera, diaz/stungun, guida/gomi Phone Post

Nobody famous wants to do anything on NYE, fuck that. Except Clay Guida, I can see him agreeing to do it just to be nice no matter how successful he becomes. LOL guida is the best

it's New Years Day, not NYE.

It's a not a NYE show.  New Year's EVE and New Year's DAY are different things.

Exactly. I did the same thing now on the ufc homepage and was thoroughly disappointed.

Anyway go ahead and flame me for "bitching"...but this isn't how it used to be. Not even one scheduled heavyweight fight....sad.

Just goes to show if the poster boys are not on the card, said card is mediocre at best my friends.

The UFC is hurting for marque fighters

which makes it even worse.

couldn't agree more. It should be their highlight show of the year and they should do it every new years day.

the card looked much better with the Aldo/Grispi fight on it

still looking forward to Diaz/Kim and Guida/Gomi

Well atleast its an improvement from last years card (108) Phone Post

Damn ure right. Hard to believe that was a New year's card.

Carwin pulled out of his fight with Nelson

ZUFFA seemingly rushed the WEC merger so that they could add Aldo v Grispi to the card in light of the Carwin v Nelson cancellation. Aldo gets injured and there ya have it.

Was a great card, still a good card, stop bitching

UFC 92 was bad ass, thats the last time UFC pulled out the stops on a year end show.

i like the card for new years. title fight, guida/gomi,
leben, kim/diaz, baroni, this card has some sick fights on it. if wand was fighting it would feel more like a NYE in japan.

Injuries ruined the card. Looked very good at first. Phone Post

People cry and bitch about every card. They whine about title fights and Lesnar and Silva. How about STFU and just watch the damn card! Whether you pay for it or stream it NAMES don't make the fight! Phone Post

Sometimes the UFC cards that don't look that good on paper come good. At least this one has the potential for some interesting matchups (Leben fight and Gomi fight). But the New Year card SHOULD have been something immense. Phone Post

the best was 2003 when there where the three Japan shows on NYE

Inoki had Machida vs Franklin, Barnett vs Schilt, Fedor, and Overeem

Pride had Rampage, Gracie and Nogueira vs Sakuraba

K-1 had Sudo vs Butterbean (Need I say more?)
