I think he finished third, how did he lose, who did he beat? Any vids?

He lost to Carlos Viera. It was their 1st match. I was watching a friend compete while following the action, but I think it was a ref's decision/adv victory. At one point, he got VERY close to getting his crucifix but Carlos recovered.
