Sure. We had black cowboys, Jewish cowboys, Lebanese cowboys, Russian cowboys, you name it.



Donofrio's was the big penny candy / ice cream store and cafe downtown in the 1920s. You could also buy tickets to the MMA fights in Phoenix back in the 1920s there (I did a big long thread on that weird history a while back - JiuJitsu vs. Wrestling and Boxing matches were very big here back then.)



Cactus Candy (made from the pulp of the prickley pear cactus) was popular. You can still buy in in tourist traps.

No, none of these are by my father. Most are from the ASU digital collection.



You're right, some of the photos are as early as 1917. I put them in because they look cool, though.
