Sean McCorkle - Damn it!!! I'm going to be at UFC 146 and I really, really, really wanted to see that fight. Even more than that, I wanted to see Overeem vs Cain Velasquez assuming they both won.
Too bad Brock is gone because the UFC could've moved Cain up for a rematch, and put Brock in against Mir.
Shit
I agree with Big Sexy. I could also watch Mir vs Lesnar once a year.
Lessphilling - The things I don't want to see are (other than the title fight being scrapped obviously) is JDS being sidelined, or another main card fight being picked clean for a JDS opponent. Overeem fucked this this up royally, and I really would love to see UFC pull one from their sleeves on this one, in the form of Barnett, Fedor, Hunt, etc.
Barnett? Can't. Showtime and the tourney.

Fedor? Who the fuck enjoys that guy leapfrogging everyone for a title shot?

Hunt? Casual fans aren't buying this one at all.

Dana White needs a Plan B bad and he is going to have to give us a great fight here.

But to plug in Fedor?

May as well let Hendo get the shot.
Well I really don't think UFC has been around long enough to have an algorithm to figure out this shit as it pertains to buyrates. They can do anything they want, and I'd like any of those fights.
Sean McCorkle - Just think of the possibilities though in a fantasy world. Bring in Tim Sylvia/Fedor to fight Mir and move Cain to the title shot. Bring back Carwin to fight Mir. Move Jon Jones or Anderson Silva up to fight for the HW title. Bring me in to face Tim Hague, and the winner gets a shot at Brian Heden.
I think my brain just came in it's pants.
Assuming of course that you mean a genetic hybrid of Tim/Fedor fights a three way match with Mir and Carwin.
Lions of Atlanta - Wouldn't much care to see a Dos Santos/Cain rematch, but that's just me. I guess any fight its better than no fight right now.
I agree Dos Antos won their first fight more than convincingly i dont think it would make sense for them to fight again
cain had a shoulder injury i thought, but jds was injured as well.
Yeah, but JDS says he had an ACL problem or something knee related, then proceeds to do that crazy hip hop move where he bends backwards on his knees after he wins?

That's sum real brown nosing right here
Yes... obviously he's being 100% serious. Certainly not joking or anything. There's absolutely no way that he doesn't seriously think Sean should fight for the UFC Heavyweight title. CLEARLY it was an attempt to be inducted into McCorkle's inner ring of close friends, and gain all the benefits that come with such stature!
I'm being sarcastic you fucking idiot.
I was serious and you just stated my dream scenario. Once I am in good with Mr McCorkle I might get to meet Matt Mitrone!
haven't made it to the YouTubes yet...wondering if there's a "hitler reaction" video to this news. I'm willing to bet Dana's reaction was pretty similar.
Amose - So Sean, any chance you would share your opinion on how Mr. Overeem bulked up so fast over the years?
Well obviously everybody with a brain knows what the deal is. That said, Overeem has fantastic genetics to begin with, and he obviously works his ass off. It doesn't matter what you take or how much, you don't look like that without putting in the time.
I actually hate it for him. If his testosterone to estrogen levels were elevated, that doesn't mean anything necessarily other than he's taking some form of synthetic testosterone. Which could be no different than TRT, but he might not have gotten the commission's clearance to do it.
Can (or do) they test for synthetic test vs. natural?
