Not enough rest for Legs?

So I tried this new workout this week. Mon. A workout capacity 101 type workout Squat thrusts, med ball slams, jump rope.

Tue. Traditional 5x5 with squats, bench, Rows you know basics.

Thing is my legs get the most work on Mon. I then follow it with heavy squats the next day.

I was not sore the next day or anything but I was concerned it could lead to a problem of overtraining and then injury.

I would like your thoughts please.

Do 3-4 weeks like this and the 4th or 5th week drop the weight by 10% and only do 4sets. This will be your 'recovery' week.

But it also depends on your training and how you can cope with it. People are far too cautious with over training. You will know when you are over trained. The weights don't move and you feel like sh!t.

For me I can only cope with 6 progressive Oly sessions before I lose my speed.

Do you change your % of weights? Or stick on the same weight?

My mate's work capacity is sick. He can just thrash it out week after week. Me I hardly ever 1RM my squats as it wipes me out for 7 days.

Listen to your body but my advice above is a important thing that many people fail to do or even know about.
