I think maybe the match-up is so close and nobody hates Velasquez enough to write a bunch of threads about how they know 100% he will lose like when gsp and Silva fight

Yep. I've been saying this for days. This is a HUGE fight, possibly the biggest in history considering the ramifications.
I keep forgetting it's close to happening. Plus, I don't see how fans can take a side and be strong about it either way. Both JDS and Cain are monsters. I really hope the fight lives up to the hype, especially with a national audience watching.
It is a huge fight and I'm very excited.

To me this is the biggest heavyweight fight since Fedor/CroCop. There's not a lot of drama around it, which is fine by me because the fight itself is gonna be incredible.
It might be because I'm in England and it's the whole 'fox' thing which we don't get, but I haven't heard much on this fight at all.
I know everyone here will watch, I'm more concerned about the casual/new fan

If people who visit MMA forums, the relative diehards, are "forgetting," that's a bad sign. I think marketing is coming up short.

I thought the same thing. This is a monumental fight. Wish a few more fights were on the broadcast though.
Junior is such a good guy, even Brock couldn't invoke his WWE persona on TUF because of it. Don't dislike either guy, think they are both great fighters but my heart strings are definetely tugging in Junior's favor.

Completely agree. First time in years you see the top 2 in the division fighting eachother, top of there game. Glad its on such a big stage
It's the most important HW fight since Fedor-Cro Cop, but fans are much more interested in the Lesnar-Overeem matchup. This is still more spectacle than sport.
