NYC GRAPPLING OCT. 14TH FIGHTHOUSE

What's up guys. Just wanted to let you know that the next NO-GI
Submission grappling event, dubbed NYC CHALLENGE, will be on OCTOBER
14TH. Registration Fee is, like always, $45 @ the door. Pre-
Register before October 12th and pay only $35. This event will be a little
different because ACOM-SPORTS will be having TWO Open weight
divisions. BEGINNERS and OPEN. Beginners Open weight division will
be for competitors who have trained up to a year in any style of
grappling (Please, no highschool or college wrestlers). Open will be
for anyone wanted to compete in the open. There is no extra cost to
compete in the open weight divisions. This event is being sanctioned
and ranked by the TRI-STATE GRAPPLING LEAGUE.

We have been experiencing some problems with the website. By next
week, the website and the RANKINGS should be up. From now on, we
will feature BOTH absolute divisions at every NYC Grappling event.

Any info about the tournament, call 347-432-4024 ...Jerry Mendez or
email newyorkfightnights@yahoo.com

Depending on the about of competitors we get, we might put up a cash
prize to the winner of the OPEN DIVISIONS.

Why no wrestlers?

"Why no wrestlers?"

No wrestlers for the beginner division because they're not beginners.

"Why no wrestlers?"

That's only for the beginners division.

If you are an accomplished wrestler, going to the beginners division would be sandbagging. You belong in the intermediate or advanced division.

However, if you trained in wrestling under 1 year, you can do the beginners. A lot of wrestlers ( in my experience) have tried to jump into the beginners division even though they wrestled in highschool or college. it's BS to see such highly skilled athletes try to get easy wins or bring home a medal without trully testing themselves.

TTT for mud-wrestlers.
