"A drive-by shooter fired two gunshots at a pair of NYPD officers on foot patrol in Brooklyn late Tuesday, missing both — and unleashing a dragnet, police sources said.

The shooter fired twice from a black Nissan four-door sedan at about 10:40 p.m., near Flatbush and Ditmas Aves. in Flatbush, cop sources said.

The car then drove off. Both cops were uninjured, sources said."

NYC was absolutely out of control through the early 90s.

I remember once as a little kid, my mother took me down to the Barnes & Noble that used to open until midnight.

A wolfpack of mutts was charing for parking in a city parking lot with meters and handing out bullshit receipts. This is how bold the criminals were back then.
