Oculus quest 2

Anyone going for one of these. Sounds like a bargain. The original was decent, this one is a huge upgrade for cheap $ (imo). I bought the 256g model, $400,. The 64 model can be bought for 300$.

Stand alone vr (gets big upgrade IF you wire to gaming pc). Controllers optional, it will recognize your hands and fingers.

Really incredible for the price. I added an 80$ cable, a $150 headset strap and battery pack.

I just don't see this missing at this price point. Im going to skip ps5/xbox next until maybe one year after launch.

Oculus rift 2 still avail before Xmas... Got a feeling orders will be moving quickly when people see what it's capable of.

Already set up my garage w my pc, ready to go.

Have the original quest and I love it... Hoping for some more big time games soon tho. Only a few that I play consistently. Enjoy the quest 2 dude it's gonna be really good.

Have the original and a pretty decent library since only owning it since July. Also was a little annoyed that I paid $400 and a few months later the quest 2 was announced. Reselling it will be a drag but such is the fate of this shit.

So of course I preordered the 2 from Costco. Arrives Thursday and can't wait. Got a vr cover facial interface arriving today. The Costco bundle has the elite strap and the other facial interface things.

Gotta look at that bundle....

I'm playing ghosts of tsushima now, love it for a current gen game. I'll a a time eater though. I'll finish because I love it, but I think the shorter vr games/experiences might be a good fit for me.

Some of the horror looks cool. Wondering if I can capture some 360 video to view in quest. Have a samsung 360 recorder.

My wife is sick these days. Thinking about driving to the cape this weekend, capturing an awesome sunrise at her favorite place. Would like to be able to play it back for her through vr headset. Might be a good stress killer.

I also paid extra for the waterproof shield that comes extra. Apparently I'll be dropping massive loads in vr porn, and I wouldn't want to sticky the headset.

Got a Quest in December. Not sure if the upgrade is worth it since I’m still enjoying the original one just fine.

Can anyone recommend any vids I can demo for my parents? They haven't seen VR yet I want to give them a good experience.

I have 2 Jurassic Park vids that are cool my dad will really like. I'm also going to show him the underwater game Ocean Rift.

Any other cool games or videos that someone would recommend? Pretty sure my dad would even enjoy most any genre. Mom will be a bit more conservative.

I tried one called "The Blu" I think, an underwater one. Was cool.

These things are awe-inspiring. The first time you use them, you can see the potential.

I got a nice house, a very nice place. Built it myself, looks like I'm living well above my means. It's all an illusion, as I've done most of the work to save $. If I didn't love my house, the glasses would be a must buy. I could imagine being satisfied in a small apartment if you can just veg out on these for an hour or two at night.

The ability to simply just switch on another time and place is staggering. Mind blowing stuff. It's easy to buy into what you are seeing on screen.

I like some of the jump scare ones. Cant remember names. Saw one called death train that looked simple but fun.

im waiting for the psvr2. if that has new controllers, wireless/roomscale tracking along with the power of the ps5 and sony library, thats the one to get.

Oh shit. Just got notice it arrives today. Can't wait!

How many wires? I remember when Sony came out with their VR unit (do they even support it anymore). It had it's own power supply and like 200 wires. No thanks.

Wireless. Unless you want to do pcvr.

My bad. Looks like you can do wireless pcvr!

Mine comes today.

The Quest renewed my interest in video gaming

Absolutely love it, and in some cases get an AMAZING workout...

My go to game is Racket NX

Others that are great: Thrill of the Fight (get ready to sweat), BoxVR - good workout game, many others..

I ordered a Quest 2 not sure if I'll keep or I'll post for sale for christmas and make a few hundred $$

The best game to demo for family, imo, was Richie’s plank experience. But the space pirate trainer demo was good and, of course, beatsaber is always a winner.

Lol. The quest 1 blew away the PSVR (I have both) so I’m willing to bet this will be the same with their 2. Also, wires.

The workout is great on games like synth riders and beat saber. At expert you can really push yourself into cardio levels.

Looking forward to seeing the updates on games like arizona sunshine and death unchained. Yesterday arizona had a 4gb update to get ready for the 2 and I can't wait to check it out.

What are some good games on it?
