Odds can't be full of shit, they represent a number designed to get equal action on both sides of the fight. Maybe the line has something to do with the fact that Bocek has never beat anyone worth mentioning and Edgar just beat the much hyped Tyson Griffin. Maybe the fact that Edgar's last 3 opponents have a total of 4 losses (3 to Edgar) between them. If the line was way off people would be pounding Bocek.
Edgar has knocked off back to back undefeated fighters, the best guy Bocek ever fought was 11-8.
When an undefeated guy coming off of a fight of the night win over another top undefeated prospect is fighting someone that nobody has ever heard of the line is going to heavily favor the well known more proven fighter.
Bocek may very well be better than Edgar, but he has done nothing to prove it. Hell the guy is lucky to be in the UFC at this point.
smac1. for one, BJ should have to start from the back of the line if he goes to 170 and work his way up to a title shot. he is 4-5 wins away. Joslin/Penn makes for a great fight. Joslin is better on the feet, BJJ blackbelt under Jacare, can defend BJ's takedown and pick BJ's coconut head apart.
Regarding the Bocek fight, will be looking for your big mouth after the fight. Boceks last win he took out a guy in 1 round domination who took Danzig to a decision.

Also beating a guy who took Danzig who is not even in the top 30 to a decision is not something to make a scene about. Edgar beat Tyson Griffin in his UFC debut. That is a bit more impressive than beating a guy who lost a decision to a guy ranked in the 30s.

also even if it was grappling. Bocek winning the ADCC NA trials then at the ADCC beating Fickett by outwrestling, controlling, pretty much domination, in a division 15 lbs higher than he would fight MMA, to me is more impressive than Edgar beating Griffin in mma.

By that standard Marcelo Garcia and Royler Gracie are more impressive than anyone in MMA.
We aren't talking about Marcelo Garcia or Royler Gracie being better than Fedor. We aren't talking about Bocek being the number one lightweight in MMA (though you never know) We are talking about a 4-0 mma fight in Bocek with all wins in the first round, who is as accomplished a grappler as there is in the divsion, being better than a 6-0 mma fighter who beat Tyson Griffin. there is a bit of a difference here.
Bocke is well-accomplished in grappling, no doubt, but not in MMA yet. This will be his first real challenge.
1) Hominick is a nice guy and more than likely he and Fedor would simply just hang out and train rather than fight.
