I'm off to Japan in January and I was wondering if anyone knew of any addresses for shops in Tokyo that sell MMA merchandise, videos, clothes etc...
I've been to Japan before but I wasn't into MMA at the time so it wasn't something I was looking for.
I've heard that theres a wrestling store in Shibuya but I don't have the address, can anyone help?
Thanks

Go to Suidobashi. U`ll find Fitness Shop, Pro Shop and another MMA shop all close to the station.
Thanks nhb, I take it they are all there because Tokyo Dome is nearby?
Thanks

Yes, there are Tokyo Dome, Korakuen Hall and Kodokan in Suidobashi.
Gryphon has great guidance pages about Suidobashi and goods shop.

JCJ, I'm not 100% sure where I'll be. Tokyo definately, last couple of times I stayed in Minowa but this time I might be staying with friends.
I'd like to train but I've only been into MMA for about 3-4 months and I'm right at the beginning of getting to where I feel fit enough to start training properly (if that sounds right).
I'm itching to get started but after about 1 month of weights I hurt my rotator cuff so I don't want to chance it till I'm sure it's fine.
Thanks for the offer tho, maybe the next time I go i'll be training by then (August hopefully).
ISAMI in shinjuku (kind of expensive) or SSS (Silver Spark), never been there but a friend of mine buys all of his shit from there.
estanmilko, where you gonna be? I'm going to Japan in January as well for 3.5 months. i'll probably train at one or more of the following: Axis JJ, Kodokan, Paraestra, Tokyo Newaza, Purebred, Takada, and Hiyoshi campus judo. but things will depend on my time and distance.
if you want to hook up i got friends that have trained at Purebred and Paraestra. fire me an email: jcj_8p@hotmail.com

If you want to buy gear I suggest you buy it before you come to Japan. I don't know about the other stores, but its been my experince that foreign gear is about 50/100% more expensive in Japan.
I used mmagear.com and had it sent to me free shipping. Can't beat that!
