THE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION BETWEEN
STEPHANE PATRY AND DAVID LOISEAU IS OVER
Montreal (Canada) – March 21st 2006 – There has been a lot of talks and a lot of rumors going on lately and I want to confirm that effective since March 5th 2006 I am no longer representing the interests of middleweight mixed-martial-art competitor David "The Crow" Loiseau. We worked together for over six years and I considered him one of my good friends and one of the most exciting fighters in the world of MMA.
We believe things should've been handled differently by both parties but everything happens for a reason in life. David Loiseau will remain one of the best mixed-martial-art competitors in the world and Stephane Patry will remain one of the top manager/promoter in the world. They way our association ended shocked me and I am still to this day very sad on how the things have turned out, but this unfortunate situation is part of the game as it happens in every business, every day.
I wish David Loiseau the best of luck with his career and hopefully he will have the chance to one day redeem his performance against Rich Franklin on March 4th and realize his dream to become the UFC World Middleweight Championship. He has the tools, he has the talent and he has the heart to go all the way. He knows about the adjustments he needs to make and I'm sure he will work towards that in the months to come – but one thing is certain, he is a UFC fighter and he proved in 2005 that he was one of the best at what he does.
I am proud of where we went together and hopefully we will have the chance to work together again in the very near future. In the meantime I will continue to work very closely and help promote the careers of my international clients Georges St-Pierre, Mark Hominick, Patrick Cote, Sam Stout, Ivan Menjivar, Jonathan Goulet and Icho Larenas.
In all seriousness, you need someone else handling your pr.
You'll recall the sh!tstom after the whole Waggney thing, and now with Dave. Had you released this press release instead of the other, no one would have said boo. You might actually have gained a few supporters.
Instead you released, through a 17 year-old-boy, what amounts to a temper tantrum and then allowed this kid to continue defending what, in the end, is an indefensible position.
Whether or not Dave did the right thing or not is between the two of you, but airing dirty laundry in public, no matter how betrayed you feel, is unprofessional.
Glad you're releasing a better statement, and I hope that you'll stop and take a deep breath before the next such incident occurs. Regardless of what your detractors say (and I'm one of them) you work too hard in this business to get tripped up over such easily avoidable pitfalls.
I sincerely hope you continue along the path you've embarked on in this posting instead of the way you've gone in the past. It's better for you and better for the sport.
Best of luck with your other fighters -- I'm a fan of all of them.
There's no difference if it's televised or not, the UFC knows they are presenting 5 fights and know what fights will be televised and if time is permitting they are usually showing maybe 6,7 or even the full card.
Ah Patry born a rat will die a rat.Man bros guys like David are nothing but true gentlemen in the out of the ring. There is no bullshit with a guy like David he is stand up all the way.I must say one thng i hope that David gets what he deserves the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
All i can say is this David will be one day the world champ it maybe in the UFC or pride but either way he will be the top dog.
I wish you all the best and keep kicking ass "it`s CROW TIME"
