Silva will fight Cote next, but not in Atlanta it seems. Damnit! I Hhave tickets and was hoping to see Anderson/Okami.
MMARated.com has learned that UFC middleweight fighter Yushin Okami has recently suffered a broken hand and thus a potential title fight pitting Okami and Anderson Silva, once thought to be slated for September or October, has now been put on hold.
We've also learned that if Silva leaves the Octagon tomorrow night without any major injuries there are plans to book Patrick Cote as his next opponent, possibly this Fall as well.
He broke it in his fight with Tanner, so it's actually re-broken now.
Atleast Gono will be back from his hand injury soon.
If Silva x Cote is the main event in Chicago I will be so pissed off.
Hopefully they'll have an extra strong undercard because Silva/Cote is not a very marketable main event.
Replace this with Anderson vs. Wandy at 205 come on! make it happen!
I'd still like to see this in Atlanta. The Atlanta card is decently stacked anyway.
