I'm talking about old school UFC here, when the legends were in there Prime.

To me the one fight I truly wished had happened would be Ken Shamrock vs. Tank Abbot.

Also:

Shamrock vs. Coleman
Royce Gracie vs. Taktarov

Royce vs. Tank

What really impressed me and still does was Royce's entering tourneys with no weight limit. The main selling point of BJJ at the time was that size didn't matter but rather technique. Kerr, Coleman, and to a lesser extent Tank against Royce would have proved the point beyond a shadow of a doubt IMO.

Taktarov vs Royce. It would have been cool to see Royce take on
somebody who was well-versed in submissions, apart from Ken. And
Taktarov was closer to his weight I believe.

Don Frye v Marco Ruas at UFC 9. Would've been a great one.

Instead we got to watch the Predator have his way with poor Amaury Bittei.

These are fights that were gonna happen but did not for whatever reason.

Mark Coleman vs. Randy Couture-This was gonna happen in one of the early UFC's but Randy got injured.I think it was the UFC where Pete Williams took his place.

Vitor Belfort vs. Frank Shamrock-This was supposed to happen in UFC brazil but for whatever reason Frank fought Lober instead.Vitor actually called out Frank at Brazil and at the next UFC too but ended up at Pride

Jerry Bohlander vs. John Lober-This was gonna happen right after Lober lost to Frank and was even posted on the UFC rumor page but never materialized for whatever reason.

Igor Vovchanchin in UFC 11 tourney.

Oleq vs Tank 2 was gonna happen in one of the 4 man tourney UFC's but neither fought.

Duane Cason fighting at 200 under weight class "middleweight at the time"-I swear this was gonna happen i heard it on the UFC 2.99 a minute hotline they used to have.They said they were in negotiations with him for the next tourney.Guess it never happened

Zinoviev vs. Shamrock

Not necessarily Zinoviev vs. Shamrock II, since Zinoviev was really fucked up with injuries, but maybe a PPV from an alternate reality where Zinoviev vs. Shamrock lasted more than a minute.
